As we reflect on the past academic year, I want to express my sincere gratitude to each of you. Your dedication, especially in welcoming new members to our community, has made Carpatos feel like a second home.

I’m thrilled about the future and believe that together, we can continue nurturing an inclusive learning environment that empowers student agency academically and personally. Our new student council led by 4th & 5th graders will guarantee to make this happen. Preschool at Westhill Institute begins with our Transition learners (18 months) and finishes in Preschool 2 (PS2) around the age of 3.

The Creative Curriculum objectives and standards have been adopted by Westhill for students in this age range. The Creative Curriculum includes developmentally appropriate goals and objectives for children within four main categories of interest: social/emotional, physical, cognitive, and language.

Preschool students at Westhill are prepared to meet the rigour of the Primary Years Programme curriculum in elementary school through the holistic developments of the four categories of interest highlighted in The Creative Curriculum.
